Village Centre Update

Our Village Centre revamp is well underway with new toilets, luxurious bathroom vanities and modern vessel basins being installed as we speak.

Our Village Centre revamp is well underway with new toilets, luxurious bathroom vanities and modern vessel basins being installed as we speak.

The hallway which leads from our main reception to the pool is also being repainted and refreshed, and all of this work should be completed by 18 December (barring the carpet which will be laid following the reception upgrade).

A new storage area at the back of our new lounge will soon be built to store all the chairs which are currently sitting on the stage. We will then use the stage to temporarily store our library books while our bookshelves and library walls are repainted.

In the New Year we hope to paint the Sales and Main Offices during the holiday season while staff are on leave. Tradesmen will then have the reception area and new fireplace in the foyer to tackle, as well as the new lounge, auditorium, dining room and bar area. All going well this work should be finished by June 2020. While this is a big project, there are a number of exciting changes in store.

A new fireplace and large screen TV will be installed in our lounge and new doors will open out onto our outdoor patio adjacent to the pool. Soft linen drapes, smart tartan upholstery and new feature lighting will bring our dining room and dance floor to life, while new carpet and a modern white and olive green colour scheme will really lift the atmosphere and bring our Village Centre right up to date.

We’ve already received wonderful feedback from our residents about the new purpose-built billiards room downstairs. It has a classy look and feel to it including feature panelled walls, stylish wallpaper, fresh paint and mood lighting. It is an inviting space which people love spending time in. The old billiards room will become the new lounge.

We can’t wait to see the rest of this project take shape and are looking forward to socialising in style next year.
