Covid-19 Update for Residents

We’ve now spent a week in lockdown, and what a lovely environment to be locked down in. Enjoy your walks on these beautiful Autumn days but be sure to keep your two-metre distance.

THE SYSTEM WORKS
We are delighted to report that our communication is working. During one of our calls to check on residents we discovered someone out of supplies. One call to Deborah who runs the grocery system and an hour later the necessary supplies were delivered to the door.

MAILROOM ACCESS
Now through the lobby, it is open daily from 6am till 7pm with hand sanitizer there for your use prior to accessing the fridges or mailroom (all other doors into the village centre will now be kept locked.) Please note: the mailroom will be closed for sanitisation from 11am-12pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

RESIDENTS GARDEN RUBBISH
It’s business as normal so please leave your garden waste out front by 2pm, Monday and Thursday and Trevor’s team will collect it.

INORGANIC WASTE
The skip bin has been placed down by the campervan parking area for any inorganic waste you may have. If you need help with it let Kevin know.

URGENT REPAIRS
We are keen to ensure that any tradespeople visiting our village follow our guidelines. If you have need for any tradesperson whatsoever, please let Kevin know and he will arrange them for you. Remember, urgent repairs only at this time.

INNOVATIVE AMUSEMENTS FOR LOCKDOWN
Members of our management team are all finding fun ways to while away spare hours and look forward to sharing these with you over the next few weeks. Deborah Donovan has discovered that our national museum, Te Papa, is providing online jigsaws featuring the museum’s collection.

Click here to go to the Te Papa website.

A great way to view the collection and become interactive with it.

ENJOY ‘HAPPY HOUR’ IN YOUR OWN ‘BUBBLE’
This is a time to savour the simple pleasures… like a glass of wine. We have been in touch with your local winery, Leveret Estate, which is approved to operate as an “essential business.” Should you wish to purchase wine during the COVID-19 lockdown, Leveret Estate is able to take wine orders by phone or email – with contact-less delivery to your door.

To order, residents can call 07 552 0795 or email cellardoor@wineportfolio.co.nz. Check them out online at wineportfolio.co.nz

Actually, a wine might be in order for Mary Lee who celebrates her birthday today. Happy Birthday Mary.
