Introducing Emma Norton

Many of you will have met our new Sales Manager by now and we’re delighted to formally welcome Emma Norton to Omokoroa Country Estate.

Emma’s appointment will allow our Village Manager, Kevin, to focus on operations and management while she will concentrate on sales and the refurbishment of homes as they become available.

“Emma is really excited to join our amazing team,” Kevin says. “We work very well together and it’s great to have her to focus on sales so we can lift our village profile and attract new residents while I ensure everything runs smoothly day-to-day.”

Emma has several years’ experience in the retirement village sector, having started as a duty manager at Papamoa Beach Village before moving into sales. Her passion for people and process means she’s ideally suited to help new residents transition into retirement living.

As a former IT project co-ordinator and international au pair, Emma has travelled extensively and lived in France, Sweden and London before settling in the Bay of Plenty 10 years ago. She’s also a qualified teacher and has worked for the Mental Health Commission as an Executive Assistant.

“She has no shortage of stories to tell and is enjoying meeting all our residents and hearing about their life experiences,” Kevin says. “Having come from a relatively new village to our established one, she’s been impressed with our sense of fellowship and how secure, mature and grounded our community feels.”

The mum-of-three is commuting to Omokoroa each day from Papamoa but has reassured Kevin she enjoys the drive!

Her door is always open for residents to come and say hello, and Emma says she’s particularly looking forward to seeing the village gardens bloom this spring.

“I’ve arrived in autumn and watched the leaves falling from the trees so I’ll enjoy all the different seasons here because the gardens are so beautiful. I’m looking forward to the events that are coming up too – we’ve got some amazing social events and concerts planned so I’m keen to see those take place.”
